Can Sanya SMS handle church / event fundraising drives?

Yes — that's exactly what the Pledge drives feature is for. Create a drive (e.g. "Harambee ya Ujenzi 2026"), import the pledger list from Excel (Name · Phone · Amount), set a reminder cadence (e.g. every Sunday at 5 PM), and the system handles the rest. When someone pays, you record it in one click — and they automatically get a "Asante kwa kupunguza TZS…" thank-you SMS. Reminders STOP for that person the moment they fulfill their pledge.

Do scheduled reminders cost extra?

No — every auto-fired reminder, recurring SMS, auto-reply, and payment thank-you is billed at the same per-SMS rate as a manual send. There's no monthly fee, no "automation tier", no premium plan. You pay for what gets delivered, full stop. The Schedule page shows you exactly how many SMS each upcoming reminder round will burn so there are no surprises.

What is a "sender ID" and why does it matter?

The sender ID is the name your customer sees when the SMS arrives — e.g. "KANISA" instead of "+255 7XX XXX XXX". A branded sender ID looks professional, doesn't get filed under spam, and confirms the message is genuinely from you. Sanya SMS registers your sender ID with TCRA (the Tanzanian regulator) for you — usually approved within 2–3 working days. While we're waiting, your SMS goes out under the fallback ID "INFO" so nothing blocks.

Which networks do you cover?

All Tanzanian mobile operators: Vodacom, Airtel, Tigo, Halotel, Smart, Zantel, and TTCL. Same price across all of them (TZS 22/SMS). Volume discounts kick in automatically above 50,000 SMS/month.

How fast is delivery?

Typical end-to-end delivery is under 5 seconds. Real-time delivery receipts in the dashboard show you what was delivered, what failed, and why. The Reports page breaks down every send by source and success rate.

Can I send in Swahili?

Yes — Sanya SMS is built Swahili-first. Standard Swahili characters fit in the 160-char GSM-7 alphabet (no Unicode cost penalty). The interface is bilingual, and the template library ships with Swahili reminders, thank-yous, and recurring patterns ready to use.

Is there an API?

Yes — a REST API with token-based auth. Use it for OTPs, transactional SMS from your app, integrating with your POS or booking system. Documentation lives in your account under API tokens. Same per-SMS rate as the dashboard sends.
